Description

Lodging / Housing sought for Haitian refugee mother & small family.

Kataluma refugee hospitality continues to serve refugees and asylum-seekers in the Boston area.

Can any of you in Park Street Church circles help with a housing need?  We are supporting a 20-something mother, toddler daughter, and teenage sister who are now in need of a private space having two bedrooms, bath, and kitchen w refrigerator, with easy access to public transportation. Mother has work permit and begins health-care job in downtown Boston later in July.

Two useful time/date solution scenarios:

1)  Short-term lodging (fitting space & utility criteria above) for the family from now, July 6 till July 17 (or even some of these days)

AND/OR

2) Longer term rental with a move-in date as soon as July 15, though as late as August 12.

Flexible short-term lease ideal, low or no extra rent down is hoped for. More or less $2,000 per month. If you are also able to help this and other refugee and asylum families financially, whether through a donation to Kataluma or paying a hotel bill or a portion of rent directly, let us know!

Kataluma will be caring for this family along the way and until they are stable late this year or into 2024. If you have any leads, notions, etc. about the lodging or housing possibilities, give Gary a holler at:
