Hello,
My current roommate and I have the opportunity to sign a year lease on a small house in Jamaica Plain. It is minutes away from the Orange Line, and it is $3000 total before utilities. We are looking for a third person to afford the rent, and are looking to start the year lease on April 1st. The bedroom situation is a bit strange, with two bedrooms upstairs and a “half bedroom” also upstairs (which really is too small to be a bedroom). We would most likely make the living room downstairs into the third bedroom (already approved by the landlords). The half room upstairs could be common space, as well as a very large attic that could serve as common space as well. The attic is a versatile space, but would need a space heater for using it in the winter, and it requires a steep ladder climb to get up there. Because the three rooms we would use as bedrooms are all a bit different in size, the rent will be split a bit unevenly depending on which bedroom we each end up in. Anyways, it’s a really cute little house, and we would really like to make it work, so if anyone is open to a bit of creativity in how bedrooms are assigned, please message me (I can also send some photos of the place)! It also has street parking and a really cute front porch with a bench swing!
A bit about us- we are both in our mid-late twenties and are mostly introverted. I attend a local Baptist-affiliated evangelical church and my roomate attends a local Catholic church. We would love the opportunity to live with other female believers! We like a calm and friendly house and often are laughing and debriefing our days in the kitchen. We hope to have a house where people can bring a few friends by to relax and socialize. We both like to hike and often take trips up to New Hampshire to adventure with friends. I am a social worker, and my roommate is a massage therapist. Let us know if you may be a good fit for the house!
