Personal Care Assistant Needed for 70 yr old man with Cerebral Palsy in Downtown Boston

Seeking compassionate, dependable caregivers for a brother in Christ with significant physical disabilities due to Cerebral Palsy and a previous stroke. He has a sharp mind, delightful sense of humor, and is truly grateful for the help! A variety of morning (8-10am) and afternoon (4-6pm) care shifts are available and pay $64 per shift. Morning care involves bathing (bed bath), catheter care and diaper changing, personal hygiene, dressing, bed to wheelchair transfer using an electric Hoyer lift, and meal prep and feeding. Afternoons involve meal prep and feeding, wheelchair to bed transfer, undressing, catheter care and diaper changing, personal hygiene, and household maintenance such as laundry and light cleaning. Must be comfortable with a cat in the home, and be willing to register for direct deposit though the Massachusetts Personal Care Attendant (PCA) program since we need to use insurance benefits to help pay for his care.

This is a great opportunity for students studying to become nurses, CNAs, etc!  The apartment is near Park Street station, near the MBTA. Parking permits for street parking can also be obtained through the city of Boston PCA parking program.
