Seeking roommate for small intentional community in Cambridge
We are seeking one male-identifying roommate to join a three-person intentional community apartment in Mid-Cambridge. We share a rhythm of common prayer, meals, and household tasks and an ethic of mutual respect and support. Our background is in Episcopal Christianity (progressive and liturgical), but we are open to sharing and learning from other traditions. We are both active congregants at the Society of St. John the Evangelist monastery in Harvard Square.
One bedroom is available in a charming, historic 3-bed, 1-bath ground-floor apartment. The room and unit are spacious, with a large kitchen and living room, a back porch and garden, a front porch/winter solarium, hardwood floors, and lots of closet space. The owners live upstairs and are very friendly. Laundry and storage are available in the basement. We like to keep it cozy and clean here!
Rent for the room is $600 (an absolute steal for this location and size of apartment), with utilities per person ranging from $50–100 depending on the season.
The apartment is on Broadway near Maple Street in Mid-Cambridge, conveniently located between Harvard (15-min walk), Central (10-min), and Inman (10-min) squares — Red Line T stops at Harvard and Central. The neighborhood is charming, with tree-lined streets, lovely houses, and beautiful Joan Lorentz Park and the Cambridge Public Library just down the street. 10 minutes to the Harvard campus, 17 minutes to Harvard Divinity School, 10 minutes to two different Whole Foods.
Marilyn (she/her) is in her late 30s and a licensed architect, running her own architecture firm. She splits her time between Cambridge and her family farm in rural Pennsylvania. Gabe (he/him) is in his mid 20s and a master’s student in architecture at the Harvard Graduate School of Design. You are a clean, tidy, respectful graduate student or young professional looking for intentional community!
Move-in is flexible over the next few months.
